CAMPAMENTO NUMERO UNO

I'm just gonna say now that I was not excited for camp. I never really loved camp as a child, and I'm the only one on our team who hasn't been a camp leader/worked at a camp. That being said, as soon as we got to camp, I was glad to be there. Not like stoked, but thankful. Then we had our first session. HOLY DANG GUYS. I was overwhelmed by the love that these teachers have for their students. Like they're praying over their kids and speaking prophetic words and blessing them simply because they love them and want to see them worshiping God in everything they do. IT'S SO COOL. Wanting to see someone serve God and doing everything in their power to help them serve God is like THE most loving thing a person can do. And these teachers embody that every day.

Every session ends with the teachers and staff speaking freedom and love and blessing into the children's lives. I've ended each session crying, so that's good.

On another note, slip n' slide kickball was a SUCCESS. It rained and was freezing, but the kids had a blast!

On Wednesday (aka today) we had the day off to rest and prepare for the next Campamento (with the older grades) on Thursday. SUPER NEEDED. Camp is awesome, but exhausting.

Thanks for your prayers! Energy will definitely be needed as we tackle this next camp with energy and joy.

PS this is my LAST WEDNESDAY in Guatemala. HOW CRAZY.
