Yesterday we started working (WHOOO). Our job was to check trickle lines, which are long irrigation lines that run down rows of cherry trees, for holes made by mice or lawn mowers. Essentially we spent 9 hours hunched under trees, walking through mud, and discovering branches with our faces. BUT it was actually really fun! Our team is pretty good at making un-fun tasks fun (it's also only day 2 so...).
We were working with John, whose wife Marissa is one of our cooks. To give you a bit of an idea of what he's like, today we saw a raccoon and John just yelled "HEY EVERYONE THROW STUFF AT IT" so we all yelled and threw 2x4s at a raccoon that was so far away, it was barely visible. He's quite entertaining (John), but we've also had a lot of good life chats in the 2 days we've known him.

Me after a few hours of work whooo. John told me I had mud on my face, so I rubbed it off (clearly it worked).
